One of the most cool things about going to music festivals is that you get to check out bands and artists that you may not be familiar with, finding new music to add to your playlist. While I am no doubt looking forward to seeing the queen Solange, Tyler the Creator, and Phantogram; there are a few sets I’m interested in seeing because I’m not super familiar with the music.

As Mo Pop Festival descends upon us this weekend, there may be some acts not on your radar that are definitely worth checking out.

On Saturday, Michigander, Amine, Run the Jewels, and PVRIS should be on you radar.

Sunday’s must check out act include White Reaper (who I’m hearing great things about), Vance Joy, and Arkells.

And, don’t forget to check in for the headlines Foster the People and Alt-J, which finish up the fest on Saturday and Sunday!
