Samsung had a strong presence at this year’s Lollapalooza with the Samsung Galaxy Experience, The Samsung Galaxy Owner’s Lounge, and The Samsung Galaxy Truck; and we got the chance to hang out at the Owner’s Lounge for a bit!

The Owner’s Lounge provided owners with the ultimate upgraded experience that offered the option to order customized treats from the bar with the GS6 edge, sing at the Samsung Milk Music Karaoke booth, create a festival postcard, and check out Lollapalooza performances in virtual reality with Gear RV. Not to mention a prime spot for some of the festivals biggest headliners, including Sir Paul McCartney and Metallica.

There were also special appearances from Gary Clark Jr., Charli XCX, and A$AP Rocky. Charli XCX was celebrating her birthday over the weekend and was surprised with a birthday cake while the crowd sang “Happy Birthday”.

While hanging out in the Owner’s Lounge, we checked out the Samsung Gear VR during the performance of Django Django and let us tell you; IT WAS AWESOME!!! The headset transported you to the stage during performances, alongside the artists. With the turn of your head you could look out into the audience and at the artist right next to you! We can only imagine how amazing it would be while watching a movie; or your favorite TV show, like Game of Thrones or our personal addiction Empire! At $199.99 it is WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
