There's a new singer on the scene that we know absolutely nothing about and that may be a good thing, because for once in a long time we get the chance to focus solely on the music. AND THIS MUSIC IS GOOD!

H.E.R's debut EP Vol. 1 is giving us some real R & B, when lately we've been inundated with frauds. These seven tracks ooze a sexiness and rawness that we haven't experienced in a while. With a strong voice, genuine and expressive lyrics, and solid production we're already looking forward to Vol. 2 because continued success and musical releases are well deserved.

We've listened to this project from end to end on multiple occasions and have not skipped a song, which says a lot when many albums call for a lingering finger over the skip button. Standouts include, "Losing", "Wait For It", "Jungle", and "U"; but we're far from picking a favorite when all of the songs have touched us in some way. And, we must say we're already interested and excited to see how these songs sound live.
