In the House for MoPop 2016!!
Being both a Michigan native and self-described music aficionado I could not believe I haven’t attended the MoPop Festival before, but here I am and I must say it is pretty dope!
The location on the Detroit Riverfront is AMAZING! And with the beautiful weather it couldn’t have made for a better weekend!
This year’s line-up did not disappoint with some of my favorites like Father John Misty, BORNS, The Head and The Heart, and M83.
Mo Pop Festival
One thing I really liked about MoPop was the relaxed atmosphere. You were really about to chill and take it all in. I hung out for quite a bit in the PABST 1844 VIP Lounge where you could lounge and also enjoy the music!

MoPop also had a lot of activities and things to check out, for when you had downtime between sets or just needed to take a break, like the Heritage Guitars Music Experience, the Detroit Dart Club, the Credit Karma Arcade, and Citizen Yoga! I also enjoyed checking out the vendors who had many cool handmade items, and the food trucks! Can we say DELICIOUS!
Mo Pop Festival
I'd definitely recommend the MoPop Festival for music festival newbies and veterans. There were a lot of offerings that would appeal to everyone, even kids with the School of Rock All-Stars. You can check out more here, and be sure to be on the look out in Spring 2017 for information on next year’s festival!
