We will admit . . . we are burnt out on reality TV and you probably are too. After watching the ordeals on Love and Hip Hop New York AND Atlanta, we were ready to throw in the towel. But then a funny thing happened, and it’s called Atlanta Exes. Now before you give us the side-eye, hear us out. This show is different, and it comes from a different angle.

The show features Tameka Raymond, Christina Johnson, Monyetta Shaw, Sheree Buchanan, and Torrei Hart. Now you may know these women from the men they were involved in relationships with, but this show unlike many before it, looks to show these women as more than just an ex-wife or ex-fiancé. Because before they were with “some guy”, they were their OWN person and this show strives to show that, and most importantly how you embrace and open that person up to the world after a high-profile relationship ends.

We admittedly didn’t know too much about the ladies prior to the show, aside from what we may have come across on a website or blog; but we’re here to tell you this. Their story is not too different from many women out there, and before you judge them off the fact they chose to live life on camera, you need to watch the show; because their story can easily be your story. How do you pick up the pieces? Who hasn’t been there, and had to do it sometimes without support, or with the judging eye of family and friends?

And you can Google them to see who they were married to or dated, because to us the show isn’t about them anyway, but these ladies and we can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
